Sweet Winter’s Kiss

Genejacked is on Chapter 20 today. That’s 40k.

I break up my books in 2k chapters. That helps me know what my goal is and keep then shortish. This works for me and basically arbitrary. 2k just enough for a beginning middle and end in a single chapter. Maybe down the road I will play with that but not right now because the number seems to work.

Planner Vs Pantser.

I want to be planner. I tried to have an outline for my writing but I found it just slows me down. I do keep notes like a character list and scenes I want to write and slang I want to use. (Chinese in CC, Japanese in Oni, and cyberpunk, transformer, etc in Gene.

I tried keeping an accurate account of each chapter but that didn’t help. Those things took more time that just writing.

I gm the same way. I have a tiny thread of plot that I know will get me through but the characters just do what ever they want.

It is true I was worried since 99% of made up statics say writers plot.  Found out that GRRM doesn’t. No reason why I gotta.

The most important trueism for my writing is this. If it works for me don;t change it. :). I got something.
